What SkinMatch collects, why, and how to control it.

What we collect

An email address and password, handled entirely by Supabase Auth — SkinMatch itself never sees your password — plus whatever you add to your profile: a display name, an optional avatar image URL, an optional Steam profile URL, and an optional Discord username. It also stores the trade listings, watchlist entries, ratings, and reports you create while using the site.

How it's used

Solely to run the matchmaking features you're using: showing your listings to other traders, matching you against your watchlist and trade filters, computing your trade reputation from confirmed completions, and letting moderators review reports. SkinMatch doesn't run ads, doesn't use ad-tracking or analytics trackers, and doesn't sell or share your data with any third party for marketing.

Where it's stored

All data is stored with Supabase, our database and authentication provider, which acts as a data processor on SkinMatch's behalf. No other third-party service receives your data.

Cookies

SkinMatch sets a session cookie to keep you signed in and a small cookie to remember your language preference. Neither is used for advertising or cross-site tracking.

Your choices

You can edit or remove any profile field, delete individual trade listings and watchlist entries, and block another user to stop seeing their offers, all from within the app. To delete your account entirely, contact us and we'll remove your profile and associated content.

Children's privacy

SkinMatch is not directed at children and shouldn't be used by anyone under the age required by Steam's own terms in their country.
